Today: another day on the River

Today, another day on the River…

The following is just a string of “random” pictures taken while kayaking on the River today.  Here’s hoping they are pleasant to the eyes for all.  Posting style is called “tiled mosaic” so I suppose you have to click on the picture to see it full size… enjoy!

Thank you. The yellow flowers are what we call yellow flags. They are irises and they like blooming with their roots in the water. The clouds was one storm roiling in out of the north (rather unusual direction here – everything is normally west, or east) and by the time I returned closer to home it was raining lightly. Later we had lightning and thunder and today there isn’t a cloud in the sky.

Wow you have captured the moment very well. I love the ones with water, mountains, forest and gigantic clouds. These reflect the essence of nature so pure, I am jealous and honored at the same time to be able to have part on such beauty. Thank you.

Thanks for that glowing comment, Fijay. I wanted to give people an idea of the size (and beauty) of the Lower Mainland part of the Fraser River and its many channels and tributaries. You can probably “Google” that – Chilliwack, B.C., Canada. It shows the main river and the channels, although probably not at high water as it is now. If you want, to can follow the Hope River, east, or you can start from Berkeley Avenue (where I live) and follow my kayak run west to the main River.
