Every once in a while I do get into a romantic kind of mood. Today I want to share a poem expressing the deepest kind of reciprocative love… I didn’t write this wonderful poem that expresses the depth of love with so much feeling. I found it while looking for something else. Sorry, it didn’t come with a title and I don’t know whom to credit for this great work…
“They walked down the path at midnight.
The sky was full of stars.
She lifted her soft brown eyes to him.
For her, he lifted the bar.
She neither smiled nor thanked him
Nor did she even bow
For he was the son of a farmer
And she, a Jersey cow.”
Really, what were you expecting?
It’s cute!

Happy to approve your comment. And thank you for all the beautiful photos and “travelogues” on your blog. So well written, descriptive without being wordy. I enjoyed travelling there…

You get second prize for best comment. Someone sent me a picture of a Jersey cow (but in email, not in comments).

A real cow? No shit… hey, I mean it, no shit. I’ve shoveled enough to that for ten lifetimes. Besides this is a “No Shit” blog…

OK, I’ll let the farm boy know. Any particular brand of cologne you think he should wear next stroll under the moon?

That’s a good one, sure. And don’t forget at least a liter of “Chateau la Pompe” for when the ambiance is just right.
