Another Year Has Begun

Just a short post to acknowledge the passing of 2019 and slipping unobtrusively into 2020 with no “new year” resolutions, no wishin’ and hopin’ and thinkin’ and prayin’ or plannin’ and dreamin’… and no expectations.

I know 2020 will just be more of the same, I haven’t observed any of my acquaintances too keen on getting off the treadmill… I guess a job’s a job even if at the end of it you’ve turned into a tired hamster.

Cheery, huh? Actually I think tonight is a safe thing, so I’m going to celebrate all of 2020 tonight. Why wait? I’ve got the wine, the cookies, the movies and I don’t have to get up early tomorrow.

Plus the “Chinook” that came upon us late yesterday is still going crazy out there and we’re about ten to fifteen degrees above the norm. Nothing of nature can beat the Chinook.  Best gift ever from mother nature.

OK, so to all of you who came along for the ride, who left “Likes” and posted comments,  a sincere thank you.  To those of you who tolerated my ranting comments on your own blogs, thank you also. And finally, I’ll leave it up to you, as individuals, to give yourself the kind of future in 2020 that you would give yourself if your were entirely in charge of things.

Be well… and you don’t have to be good!

Perhaps we need to ditch expectations and just accept what is. Perhaps we just need to go with the flow. That’s what I will try to do in 2020. Emphasis on “try”

    Hi Sha’ Tara.
What an allegorical start to the ephemeral change in one year to another. Despite ranging fire, small towns being wiped out, millions of animals being killed and firefighters losing their lives….the Sydney Authorities still insist on celebrating….. and with fireworks!
    Keep on surviving kiddo
(Watch for an odd systems of replies I’m working backwards again….asides from Antierra, which I will get to…The entire community of Vol III said ‘get it down by the 31st December!)

There there you go Roger, working backward, why not? I’m assuming when you mean December 31 you mean 2020 and not 2019! The Sydney authorities are symptomatic of the decadence that is the new norm for at least 90% of man’s global leadership with zero chance of a turnaround. Enjoy the editing and the re-writes.

Well mechanically they set those blasted fireworks off just about 23.59 hours 31st December 2019…..Anyway there they were close to vast tracks of burning lands and they celebrate by setting off more fireworks….
I’m going back to The Oakhostian and see what The Girls are suggetings (ordering me to do on the re-write).
Then I come back and carry on catch-up, and avoid the news for a few more days.

      2. Sha'Tara Post author

Good plan. My idea of “news” is following certain blogs where I know much of the crap has been filtered out… but then I was never much for new anyway. Or weather. Or sitcoms.

Timothy Leary said, or so reported, ‘Think for yourself. Question authority’, I guess he was talking about bastions of government, society, education religion etc.
These days I use that for anyone with a public profile, even if their followers consider them a ‘rebel’ or outsider….After all it’s a form of authority.
        Gotta brain…Use it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤷🏻‍♂️right?

Hi Roger… “Gotta brain…Use it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤷🏻‍♂️right?” Yes. Unfortunately most people don’t know the difference between a “brain” and their “mind” which is where the actually thought processing is supposed to take place. If the mind is atrophied then the brain, which is too closely associated with the body, should not be relied upon to provide answers to serious existential questions. The brain can answer “Where should I go for lunch” but will go “TILT!!!” if asked to reason the benefits of thinking about eternal life or a future that encompasses future lives in future worlds.

Hey Phil! I am working on the “less is more” concept (but it’s definitely not French!) Me, forget my soapbox? I’ve got a spare packed for my trip across the River Styx.

Thank you for commenting, Shera. As in other times when the situation became untenable, the younger generations are going to decide for themselves whether to wear the System’s chains and continue to work against their own self interest or to become revolutionaries, whatever that entails. There are never any guarantees that the revolution will succeed, certainly not at first but eventually when the revolutionaries realize how much of the old has to be destroyed, how many have to die in the process, then it will.

“Pilchatd” Questo è il nome che si sono dati dei Giovanissimi internauti in contrasto con l’attuale governo e i metodi volgari dell’approccio politico.
Sottolineano con grandi riunioni di piazza i problemi sociali come il lavoro l’affettività e la qualità della vita Senza voler entrare nel merito perché sostengono sono i politici che devono farlo.

Ma in Italia ci sono stati altri movimenti di giovani oggi meno giovani finiti nel nulla Dunque io mentre spero… ‘dispero’.

Sorry for the s elay … Don’t worry: I read English and understand it quite well while to write it is another story 🙄

      2. Sha'Tara Post author

Hi Shera. Thank you for explaining about your English. It is how I learned English also, I could read fluently and understand, but I had to speak or write responses in French, when I was teenager. Now I do English better than French!
Quote: “But in Italy there have been other movements of young people today less young people who have ended up in nothing. So I while I hope … ‘despair’.”

“Despair” is not in my vocabulary. I understand about forces, movements, tidal waves of people pro and con existing power structures. The essence of life is change. When something goes seriously out of balance, life re-arranges the players on the chessboard and the game changes direction. This is the theme of all our greatest mythologies, histories, science fictions. A totally controlling fascistic/capitalist world government will never manifest, both George Orwell and Aldous Huxley were wrong. They forgot the “big picture” and focused on the happenings of the moment, hence drawing the wrong conclusions.

These small movements you are seeing are the “thin edge of the wedge” as they say. They are the beginnings of the unraveling of civilization. Those participating still believe that they can make significant changes to the system to make it more human-centered, less of a technocracy. A contradiction: they rely on their technology (the enemy of nature) to attempt to make changes to the growing AI machine. So they will be constantly defeated until a significant number realizes they must destroy all of civilization to reinstate nature as the ruling force on earth.

This is going to happen but we who are awake must realize that the downfall of a global civilization comprising so many people and so many interlocked systems is going to become apocalyptic. Tsunamis of forces will rise against one-another and the death toll is unthinkable. Nothing will remain of what we take for granted today, or what we admire of man’s accomplishments through the millennia: absolutely nothing!

Then will come a new people and a new world. Anything of the past (this civilization’s) time will be cursed and forgotten. Nothing will be kept or remembered. It will be as if “this” never was.

      3. sherazade

        good night!

      4. Sha'Tara Post author

Hi Shera, your response, translated, goes thus:

“I am not very convinced of your arguments In the sense that this ethical and apocalyptic change understood as total destruction and total rebirth if it will happen will be very far from us light years. Resistance is very strong because people are convinced that this is the era of well-being, even if limited and limited, everyone looks and their strength to achieve it.
These rebellious movements do not survive compactly because they are absorbed by common thinking. Here is the reason why ‘despair’: I don’t think there is a will to submit to individual sacrifices that a total change would cause.”

This is how I explain it: To paraphrase a line in an essay, “to shift the weight of emphasis away from understanding anthropocentrically to an explicitly biocentric model of the Spirit in nature.” That is, we need to expand our horizon of understanding beyond mankind and into the greater aspect of life in the universe, and if possible, beyond that, into what I call the cosmos or “the All-Thing.”

The total destruction or “deconstruction” of man’s last civilization on Earth will take “time” as Earthians understand time, but that is an anthropological concept. Time is an artificial construct imposed upon this universe as a form of control over life itself. That applies to any kind of measurement of nature. Forget how long it will take, that being irrelevant outside of time. Because of time people believe (and observe) they only have so many years to live, then the game is over. That is an illusion. You’re not “dying” but approaching your own time of transformation, that being entirely dependent upon how you lived this life and how you’ve prepared (or not) for your next level of player in the game of life.

My approach: I cannot speak for anyone else, but I know that I will be returning to this world in some 300 Earth years from now. It will be a terrible time for Earth and my effectiveness will be very limited and short lived but necessary for observation and fact gathering. It will be another 3-400 Earth years before I return again, but not alone this time. I will see (experience) the final agony of this civilization and participate in the renewal. (Long story but enough here to make the point.)

Worlds like this one are common. Many “ISSA” (intelligent, sentient, self-aware) beings return as change agents but they get lost in the programming and forget why they are here. I can tell that many bloggers I interact with are such people but they have to awaken themselves then develop the awareness and the courage to do what they came here to do. Most will never make it and will “die intestate” so to speak.

To answer your last point about a “will to submit to individual sacrifices that a total change would cause” — that is correct. But the change is inevitable regardless; it will not happen as a result of human will but as an aspect of natural life reasserting its hegemony over the world. In the greater scheme of things here, mankind’s desires will become less and less relevant as the years pass.

        Buona notte

      6. Sha'Tara Post author

Transl: Maybe you are right about the fact that nature will be able to recover from man’s violence, but today it still seems very distant and uncertain. My question is: is there a recovery margin?

Difficult to answer because some of the recovery happens within the “time measure” i.e., I have “seen” to within a thousand years in the future. At that period, the recovery has reached what could be termed “stage one” – up to the time when the new human species (the mutants who replace homo sapiens) are ready to depart Earth “en masse” and head for the stars, literally. What happens afterwards here on Earth is outside my vision and any sort of calculation as Earth will have been freed from the time control factor. Outside of time or dimensional awareness there are no margins.

Important to note that any future observed within some time-frame is open ended, subject to any and unlimited number of possibilities. I’ve concentrated my “studies” based only on the single possible future I have seen.

Past the time boundary, Earth becomes what my Teachers call a “hidden world” and can no longer be traced or found. I know that sounds like weird science fiction to us stuck in our illusion of measurable passage of time and measurable space but it is how I’ve been taught.

Of course, the more the current Earthians fight and struggle to save their corrupt and dying civilization, the longer it will take for the transformation to take place. It’s up to us as individuals to choose whether to fight to save this current aspect of Earth by cooperating to some degree, with those forces that are destroying the Earth (political, financial, economical, technological, military, revolutionary) or become self empowered, detached entities relying strictly on the forces of change found within ourselves as our freed minds interpret them and allow us to use them.

That’s the best answer I can give you, Shera.

Hi Parker, and thanks for the follow, and the comment. My visiting friends think my wine and cookies is crazy. Crazy suits me and I don’t have normal taste, whatever “normal” means. I like mixing all kinds of foods that aren’t supposed to be mixed. The results aren’t always gastronomically uplifting (!) but I’m happy if it is just another knife thrust into tradition! As I often say, ‘don’t ever tell me that’s not how it’s done’!
